READ A BIT, SNOOZE A BIT, AND HAVE A SNACK A BIT

A welcome cloud cover this morning prevented the Sun from turning the day into a steambath.  Not so good for most folks, but good for me.  Not even a whisper of a breeze stirring anywhere when Pheebs and I headed off to our walking spot.  Before arriving there it began to drizzle slightly but we didn't let that stop us and we managed to get half a walk in before the drizzle turned to rain.  We made it back to the Jeep without any serious wetness upon us.  From there we followed Libby's windshield wipers all the way home.  Needless to say, that was pretty much the end of our day as I settled into our sunroom's comfy recliner with my trusty Kindle Reader in hand.  Read a bit, snooze a bit, walk around a bit, play on the computer a bit, and have a snack a bit:))

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A rookie police officer was out for his first ride in a cruiser with an experienced partner. A call came in telling them to disperse some people who were loitering.  The officers drove to the street and observed a small crowd standing on a corner. The rookie rolled down his window and said, "Let's get off the corner, people."  A few glances, but no one moved, so he barked again, "Let's get off that corner...NOW!" Intimidated, the group of people began to leave, casting puzzled stares in his direction.  Proud of his first official act, the young policeman turned to his partner and asked, "Well, how did I do?"  "Pretty good," chuckled the veteran policemen, "especially since this is a bus stop!"

- Why don't aliens visit our planet? Terrible ratings. One star.

- I had my first UFO experience this morning  I walked into the kitchen and confessed to my mum that killed her prize Orchid. The next thing I knew, there were flying saucers coming at me from everywhere!

I need to re-home a dog.  It's a small terrier and tends to bark a lot.  If you're interested, let me know and I'll climb over my neighbor's fence and get it for you.

  2. I really like your day... reading, resting, just hanging out. I guess you noticed I didn't mention the walk... Walking is not on my 'like' list. Love your jokes. They always make me smile.
