SCOOTER'S HEADED TO ALASKA

SPOTTED THIS GAGGLE OF CANADA GEESE EAST OF LONDON'S PARKWOOD HOSPITAL TODAY
Another muggy day.  Seeing how it was Monday, all three of us were in the Subaru once again headed to London's Victoria Hospital.  We left under sunny skies but soon ran into rain.  Luckily, the rain quit right after we dropped Kelly off at the Hospital.  Over to the Westminster Ponds area we went but I already knew the trails would be too muddy to walk and the grass at the baseball diamonds would also be soaking wet.  So,  staying on some old crumbling paved roads we walked around the 'old foundations' area a couple times.  Snapped a few pics along the way.
FORTUNATELY, WE HAD SOME OLD CRACKED PAVEMENT TO WALK ON
I REFER TO THIS AS THE 'OLD FOUNDATIONS' AREA
MORNING RAINS HAVE BENT THESE BRANCHES LOW

AND YES, PHEEBS JUST WALKED RIGHT THROUGH THAT WATER PUDDLE
BECAUSE OF THE MUDDY TRAIL, WE DIDN'T HEAD OFF INTO THE ENCHANTED FOREST
Picked up Kelly at 3 o'clock and we headed for home under partially sunny skies.  Because it was a holiday Monday for us, traffic was thankfully much lighter at the London end of our travels.  A welcome break indeed.  We were home around 4:30 with both of us being very tired.

I SNAPPED A FEW RAINY-DAY PHOTOS ALONG THE WAY

While on our way to London late this morning, Kelly's cell phone rang and it was the fellow who bought our Class C RV (Scooter) a couple weeks ago.  He had a question about the propane tank.  He and his wife, traveling in Scooter, are heading to Alaska Thursday.  I thought to myself, how great for Scooter to finally be on the road going somewhere after sitting here at our place going basically nowhere for the past 3 years.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( I once spent ten years marooned on a tropical shore...I lived on nothing but coconuts and seafood. I fashioned sandals out of leaves, a hut out of grass and sticks, and I kept myself healthy with wild plants.  One day I was scouring the beach for copper wire to build a radio I was working on, and I came across a small white spheroid about 2" in diameter that I had difficulty biting into.  The mystery was solved when a man stepped out of the trees and said, "That's mine." Astonished,  I asked him, "Where did you come from?"  He said, "From the golf resort just the other side of those trees."

  4. Love when you step in front of the camera, you and Pheebs. : -) Love the Old Foundations. There is always something Stone-Hengey about old foundations, British, love them. Love the green tunnel. Oddly have captured two of these this summer...one in TN, one in FL, none so perfect and roundly-enchanted as yours.
