It was a good day for Pheebs and she was back to her normal happy little self for the second day in a row. She ate all her breakfast and supper with a few special treats in between. Although we didn't make it out of the house for a car ride this morning, it was an okay day. We'll definitely be out and about tomorrow and maybe head to Goderich to pick up some stuff....Slightly above freezing today so some snow slid off our roof.......I'm making some progress on my iPhone 15. With the help of a nice lady at the Bell Telephone store in Goderich, I was able to cancel my 'flip-phone' account and I now understand how to use the iPhone as an actual phone. I have it set up in my name now and with the same number Kelly had. And here's a nice little bonus, I can hear Kelly's voice when she says about 'leaving a message'. And hey, I even know how to put it on speaker phone and when my good buddy Richard phoned me a couple days ago I was able to talk to him while drinking my coffee without having to hold the phone up to my ear. I am also excited to have an Astronomy App on the phone that allows me to point it toward the sky and it will tell me the stars, planets, and constellations wherever I point the phone. And, here's the kicker.....I don't even have to be outside. I can sit here in my recliner and point it up right through the ceiling and roof. I also have a Bird App now that will identify birds I point it at and tell me what they are. And here's the kicker for this one....If I hear a bird song and can't see the bird, the program will tell me what that bird is just by its chirping. Another App identifies plants, trees, shrubs and flowers. Well, at least I think it does...haven't tried it yet. I want an App for the International Space Station now so I know when it's in our area and going over. (does anyone have a good App suggestion for this) Oh, and how groovy is this....I just speak the name of a song into the phone's Google Search Engine and the song begins playing and has all the info about it. I think I am beginning to get a wee bit excited by all this new stuff:)))))))
Al's Music Box:)) Dreamin' is a song written by Barry De Vorzon and Ted Ellis and performed by Johnny Burnette. The song appeared on his 1960 album, Dreamin, and was produced by Snuff Garrett. The personnel on the original recording included Howard Roberts and Vincent Terri on guitar, and Jerry Allison on drums.
GROANER'S CORNER:(( In light of the rising frequency of human-grizzly bear conflicts, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game is advising hikers, hunters, and fishermen to take extra precautions and keep alert of bears while in the field. They advise that outdoorsmen wear noisy little bells on their clothing so as not to startle bears that aren't expecting them. They also advise outdoorsmen to carry pepper spray with them in case of an encounter with a bear. It is also a good idea to watch out for fresh signs of bear activity. Outdoorsmen should recognize the difference between black bear and grizzly bear dung. Black bear dung is smaller and contains lots of berries and squirrel fur. Grizzly bear dung has little bells in it and smells like pepper.------------------------------------------

A woman phones up her husband at work for a chat.
HIM "I'm sorry dear but I'm up to my neck in work today."
HER "But I've got some good news and some bad news for you dear."
HIM "OK darling, but as I've got no time now, just give me the good news."
HER "Well, the air bag works."
