BAYFIELD BOAT DOCKS AT SUNSET |
I was wide awake at 5:30 this morning, and my day was underway with partially clear skies overhead. It was 44F, and that was okay because at least we were above freezing. With Pheebs not too interested in going out, I dispensed with the car ride and right away got myself busy with the ongoing clean-up. This morning, I concentrated my efforts on the wooden shed and once again made good progress. By mid-afternoon, I had it all cleaned out and as crazy as it sounds, I hauled the ShopVac in to vacuum it as well. I have a few things to move back in but not a lot. All four recycle bins are about maxed out and I was able to burn more stuff. Tomorrow I will probably tackle the metal shed. I'm on a roll and I gotta keep the ball rolling. The metal shed is going to be a major challenge.
The only pics I took today were a couple clean-up pics but I do have some from Tuesday night's sunset in and a drive along Bayfield's Main Street.

Al's Music Box:)) Honeycomb is a popular song written by Bob Merrill in 1954. The best-selling version was recorded by Jimmie Rodgers and charted at number one on the Billboard Top 100 in 1957. "Honeycomb" also reached number one on the R&B Best Sellers chart and number seven on the Country & Western Best Sellers in Stores chart. It became a gold record. The song is referenced in the McGuire Sisters' hit song "Sugartime", in which the soloist sings the line "Just be my honeycomb" and the word "honeycomb" is echoed by the other sisters and the male chorus.
GROANER'S CORNER:(( The shipwrecked mariner had spent several years on a deserted island. Then one morning he was thrilled to see a ship offshore and a smaller vessel pulling out toward him. When the boat grounded on the beach, the officer in charge handed the marooned sailor a bundle of newspapers and told him, "The captain said to read through these and let us know if you still want to be rescued."----------------------------------
Frustrated, the teen storms into his sister's bedroom. "Why are adults are always asking us what we want to be when we grow up?" Without hesitation, the sister replies, "It's because they’re looking for ideas.”

If you lived on a street in my town, you could put your disposed of stuff on the curb and within two days it would probably be gone.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you realized it but there's a rainbow on two of Kelly's photos.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed your post today Al, It was top shelf. Not only did your cleanup accomplishments inspire me to get busy, but I loved the nighttime shots of the shop windows. Your Kelly pics in the mountains are just stunning, that scenery and that gal - nice! Great camera work. PS. Thanks for the groaners and the artwork too, always fun to have a look. Have a great day! Linda
ReplyDeleteThat first photo is stunning. Sounds like you'll have all your clean up done soon - feels so good! Love all the sweet puppy faces today. That was quite the hike you and Kelly took on that chilly day :-) The colorful clothes line reminds me of the Amish homes we saw in PA.
ReplyDeleteWow, you've got more energy than I ever had. Lovely lovely photos again.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really big clean-up job. And some spectacular sunset shots.
