I am so sorry that Pheebs has passed away. I remember that someone once asked Billy Graham (evangelist) if he thought his dog went to heaven when he died, and Mr Graham answered "If God thinks you will need your dog to be happy in Heaven, yes, your dog will be there waiting for you when you arrive"
Ah, that sweet, loving Pheebs. I don't know if you believe or not, but when Laser passed not long after Dave, the only consolation was that they were with each other (along with a bunch of other doggies) waiting for me to show up. Hugs to you; I'm so very sorry. Renee Z
Oh dear, oh dear Al--We've been through this before as have you. I know your heart is broken and that it feels as if enough is enough. Much love from Janna and the Cowboy.
I'm so sorry that you lost your bestest gal, Al. She certainly was loved by all and a cherished member of your family. Sincerely sending you the biggest hug. She is in the care of Kelly again. xox
Even though we knew this was coming it saddens my heart more than I can say and I feel your pain. I am so very sorry for the passing of Pheebs, she was Special to all of us.
Al. I am crying. I have been here before. Other beloved dogs. Pheebs wasn't my dog, but YES SHE WAS! She was so much a part of your life. And your life has been part of mine--- since way back before we even met Pheebs! I am so sorry. We all know that you and Kelly gave her the best life any dog ever had. She was happy and loved. Knowing that might give you just a little consolation. We here send you our love.
Oh Al, I'm so very glad Pheebs went for a car ride with you the other day. She probably knew it was her last ride, so she went. My heart is broken for you, so much loss in so short a time. Cry ... it will help. And look at those loving photos every day. You're a lucky man to have such wonderful memories; many people do not. But wonderful memories come after pain. Kelly now has Pheebs at her side, together again. And for that I'm glad. Hugs to you, always. Barb M.
What a sad sad day. Your love for each other knew no bounds. She is still with you in your heart, and in your memories. No one can take that away. God bless. Marva, Seattle
Awwwe Al, I’m so sorry. She will leave such a void. You gave her the best possible life. She’s with Kelly now and Kelly will love her until you’re all reunited. My heart goes out to you.
We got to know Phoebe wHe we started visiting you in Congress each January for several years and then in Bayfield. She was always such a loyal and loving companion. R.I.P. Phoebe.
So sad to hear that Miss Pheebs crossed the Rainbow Bridge, but know that Kelly was waiting for her on the other side. Take comfort in knowing that she was loved by so many through your wonderful photos over the years. We will all miss her. Take care.
What a beautiful life that sweet dog had, and how wonderful the ways in which she has brightened your life. Wishing for you peace and comfort. A longtime reader and Pheebs fan.
I am so sorry to hear about Pheebs. Losing a beloved pet is one of the hardest things we go through, and my heart goes out to you. The bond you shared is clear, and while she may have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, I hope you find comfort in the countless precious memories you both created. Pheebs will forever hold a special place in your heart.
So very sorry Pheebs has left you...tis only temporary...try to focus on that. A dear rabbi friend and I were talking about our last stupendous dog who died in 2010 and how we hoped to be with her in the next life. He replied, "Why not? Life does not end here." We believe it to be so!! So sorry you have this loss on top of so very recently loosing Kelly too!! We so enjoyed what you shared about Pheebs too!!
Al, so sorry to hear that dear Phoebs has passed on. Your heart is broken once again. I have been following you for a few years and loved the dear girl. Linda in Greece
I am so sad to read this. Our beloved pets leave such a huge hole in our hearts and lives when we have to say goodbye to them. Sending my deepest condolences and love to you.
As hard as it is to lose those we love, it is equally hard to watch them suffer as they move toward death. They are at peace now, Al, and I hope you can find peace now too.
Sweet Pheebs has gone to join Kelly, Checkers, Max, Cora, & all your other doggies. She hung in as long as she could to help you thru the most immediate grief of losing Kelly. I really loved the photos of Pheebs yesterday on your last car ride together - especially eating her little bowl of ice cream. Such beautiful memories.
So sorry to hear of Pheeb's passing, what a wonderful companion she has been to you. Please take some comfort in the fact that you gave her a wonderful life.
So sorry, Al. We know how much your heart is aching, having been there. Time will slowly end the pain, but the wonderful memories of your time together will hopefully remain forever. She had a wonderful life.
I am so so sorry for this terrible loss, Al. Just too much. I can only imagine how painful this must be for you. Just too much in such a short time. I am grateful you have a friend to help you weather the pain, even though I know full well it takes years for it to even begin to heal. Pheebs was such a treasure, for you, for Kelly, for all of us who followed along when you first found her. Much love from Sue and Mo
OH NO! Al, I am so sorry to hear this. I'm so glad you had that last ice cream date with her. Such wonderful memories of her over the years, she was such a sweetheart. I know how hard this must be for you, you've been through so much lately. My deepest condolenses {{{{{hugs}}}}}. Bev, in Nanaimo
My heart breaks for you. So much loss in such a short time. In the Heaven I believe in her Mama was waiting with open arms to welcome your Bestest Gal and she is running and playing with all her fur friends. Take care of yourself!
Oh Al! We are so very sorry for the loss of your second best friend. Pheebs was the best companion and you will surely miss your morning runs with her. She is playing with Kelly now, but take your time, they'll wait. 😢💔
My sincere sympathy for your loss of Pheebs. I understand the heartbreak of loosing a beloved fur child. It hurts so bad. The price of love is grief. She will have a warm place is your heart forever. Brenda in Texas

Al…So very sorry to hear that Pheebs has passed. Such a sweet girl, she stayed with you as long as she could. Hope it brings you some comfort knowing she is with Kelly. They both left you with some wonderful memories of times shared living & loving life to the fullest. Happy to hear Woodsy is there with you.
I remember when you got Miss Pheebs after Checkers passed away. You weren't quite sure, yet she stole your hearts and fit right in. Our pets are family in every sense of the word and we feel their passing just as we would feel the passing of any loved one. We shall miss your photos of her and her memory shall remain with those who loved the stories of her. Sweet sleep Miss Pheebs.
Al. I'm so sorry about Pheebs. You have had such loss this year. My heart aches for you
