FOR SURE THAT WAS GOOD NEWS

ANOTHER SUNSET FOR WOODSY AND I WEDNESDAY NIGHT
Everything went off like clockwork this morning.  I was up before my 'getting up' time and was on the road slightly before 7 a.m.  A nice cloudy morning drive all the way to the Stratford Hospital.  A short time in the first waiting room, a longer time in the second waiting room, and then into the stent removal room.  Dr. Bukala said he got all of the kidney stones out and I would not have to come back for a second procedure.  For sure, that was good news.  So, 'Zippy-do-da', I was soon out of the hospital and on my home, minus the stent.   Cold and raining when I left the hospital, but sunny and warmer by the time I reached home an hour later........

A quick trip to Goderich for Woodsy and I, where I had a prescription to pick up.  A drive down around the harbor, and a quick stop at Giant Tiger, and we were on the road home.  This morning's early start led to a lazy afternoon.

Al's Music Box:)) Incense and Peppermints is a 1967 song by the American psychedelic rock band Strawberry Alarm Clock. The song is officially credited as having been written by John S Carter and Tim Gilbert, although it was based on an instrumental idea by band members Mark Weitz and Ed King.  It was released as a single in May 1967 by Universal Records and reached the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100 for one week in November of that year.  The song was featured in the film Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.  During the recording sessions for "Incense and Peppermints," the band members were not considered a right fit for the lead vocal track, which John S. Carter had written using a rhyming dictionary, so the lead vocals were sung by Greg Munford, a friend of the band who was present at the recording session. The regular vocalists in the band provided background and harmony vocals on the record. Band members Mark Weitz and Ed King were both denied songwriting credits by producer Frank Slay despite the fact that they contributed to the song. The songwriting credits instead went to Carter and his songwriting partner Tim Gilbert, despite the latter not participating in the song's writing. King would go on to greater fame as a member of the Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd.  "Incense and Peppermints" initially appeared on the B-side of Thee Sixpence's fifth single, "The Birdman of Alkatrash," released on All-American in April 1967.] However, local radio stations began playing "Incense and Peppermints" instead of the A-side, and the song began to gain in popularity in and around Los Angeles. Sensing the possibility of a national hit, Uni Records picked up the record for national distribution, and the single was re-released in May with the sides reversed. By the time of this second pressing, the band had changed its name to "The Strawberry Alarm Clock" to avoid confusion with another local band.  "Incense and Peppermints" spent 16 weeks on the Billboard chart, reaching the #1 spot for the week ending November 25, 1967. The single earned a gold disc from the RIAA on December 7 for sales of one million copies.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A man joins a big corporate empire as a trainee. On his very first day of work, he dials the pantry and shouts into the phone, "Get me a coffee, quickly!"  The voice from the other side responded, "You fool you've dialed the wrong extension! Do you know who you're talking to, dumbo?"  "No," replied the trainee.  "It's the CEO of the company, you fool!"  The trainee shouts back, "And do you know who YOU are talking to, you fool?!"  "No," replied the CEO indignantly.  "Good!" replied the trainee, and puts down the phone.

Getting my toy drone stuck in a tree hasn’t been the worst thing that happened to me today.  But it’s definitely up there.

After a recent college basketball game, the coach spotted a cell phone lying on the floor. He picked it up and handed it to one of the referees, saying, "Here's your phone."
"What makes you think its mine?" the ref asked.  "Easy," the coach replied. "It says you missed 13 calls!"

  5. Awesome news Al … glad your DR got all the stones and no need for a round 2 … love all the photos, but especially the one of Pheebs by the old rusty wheel - she looks rather majestic there … such a beautiful girl ❤️
Funny that you showed us the bunny pics - for the first time in 40 years living in this house a rabbit (identical to your photo) has dug a very shallow hole and given birth to at least 3-4 little kits - not sure how old they are, perhaps 1-2 weeks at most … the strange thing that baffled me is she dug her nest right where my little dog Gracie pees on a regular basis … weird !
Today I put a laundry basket over the hole and cut out one little section so mummy can go in and out to feed, but the kits will be protected from my peeing dog 😱 and any other wildlife hanging around
Have a good weekend and say hello to Lorraine please
