A ROSE IS A ROSE

A fine sunny late Spring morning and I was out the door while the night air was still cool. Figured I would try to get as much outside stuff done before the dreaded humidity sets in later and knocks me out of action, sending me scurrying back inside the house to bask in the wonderful coolness of whirring fans and air conditioning.

 A SECOND BABY BUNNY SHOWS UP

 NOW MAMA IS FEEDING BOTH BABIES

 ALL FUELED UP, THIS BABY BUNNY HOPS OFF ON ITS MORNING ADVENTURES

Because of an internet problem a week ago, I requested an Eastlink technician to come here and check over our system.  That serviceman arrived about 10:30 and checked everything out before leaving after he replaced some cable connectors.  All was A-OK......With that, I slipped back outside, hooked the car up to the utility trailer, and hauled the Juniper load down to the Park's recycling area.  Had the A/C on all the way there and back.  Pheebs and I used to get it so cold in our previous Jeep Liberty that it would almost snow.  Well, if felt like it could have anyway.  Today, we nearly reached 80F.

It's going to be a very early start for me in the morning because I have to be at the Stratford Hospital and checked in my 8:15 a.m.  Dr. Bukala will remove the stent he put in a week and a half ago.  No anesthetic required for this, so no ouchy needle pokes.  I like that 'no pain' stuff.  I should be home well before noon.

Al's Music Box:)) September is a song by the American band Earth, Wind & Fire released as a single on November 18, 1978, by ARC/Columbia Records. The song was written by Allee Willis and Maurice White, based on a music sequence developed by guitarist Al McKay. Initially included as a track for The Best of Earth, Wind and Fire Vol. 1 "September" was very successful commercially and reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart, No. 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart. The song remains a staple of the band's body of work and has been sampled, covered, remixed, and re-recorded numerous times.  It was added to the Library of Congress's National Recording Registry list of sound recordings that "are culturally, historically, or aesthetically important" in 2018.  Although several theories about the significance of the date have been suggested, the songwriter Maurice White claimed he simply chose the 21st due to how it sounded when sung.  Allee Willis adding: "We went through all the dates: 'Do you remember the first, the second, the third, the fourth ... ' and the one that just felt the best was the 21st," Willis explains. "I constantly have people coming up to me and they get so excited to know what the significance was. And there is no significance beyond it just sang better than any of the other dates.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A Scout Master was teaching his boy scouts about survival in the desert.  "What are the three most important things you should bring with you in case you get lost in the desert?" he asked. Several hands went up, and many important things were suggested such as food, matches, etc.  Then one little boy in the back eagerly raised his hand. "Yes Timmy, what are the three most important things you would bring with you?" asked the Scout Master.  Timmy replied: "A compass, a canteen of water, and a deck of cards."  "Why's that Timmy?"  "Well," answered Timmy, "the compass is to find the right direction, the water is to prevent dehydration...""And what about the deck of cards?" asked the Scout Master impatiently.  "Well, Sir, as soon as you start playing Solitaire, someone is bound to come up behind you and say, "Put that red nine on top of that black ten!"
