NOT ONLY FOR ME, BUT OTHERS WE MET ALONG THE WAY

A FEW PHOTOS FROM AROUND OUR BAYFIELD PINES PARK EARLIER TODAY
I won't bore readers with my days activities again because it was basically the same kind of day as the past two or three days.  I've once again been enjoyably busy outside doing flowerbeds, roto-tilling, watering, etc. and etc.  I did take a few pics around our Park earlier today.......... After publishing my blog tonight, I plan to head out under the moonlight and see if I can find me that elusive Aurora Borealis in the northern sky people have been talking about.......

THIS IS HOW OUR PARK'S PREVIOUS OWNER WAS DESTROYING OUR LOVELY PARK A FEW YEARS AGO
AND THIS IS HOW THE NEW OWNER IS REPAIRING THE DAMAGE DONE....UPWARDS OF 2,000  NEW TREES WILL BE PLANTED
INSTEAD OF BULLDOZERS PREVIOUSLY  DESTROYING THE LANDSCAPE, THEY ARE NOW BEING USED TO RESTORE THE LANDSCAPE
THIS ILLEGAL ROAD  RAMMED THROUGH THE FOREST BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER IS NOW BEING CLOSED AND WILL BE TURNED INTO ONE OF THE PARK'S FINE WALKING TRAILS
Some may wonder why I have been including the occasional selfie in my posts lately.  I kind of wondered that myself, but I think it is because my two main photographic subjects, Kelly and Pheebs, are no longer here for me to take pictures of, and Woodsy (Lorraine) doesn't like me pointing the camera at her.  So, to give some of my photos perspective, I have no choice but to shove my own face into the frame from time to time.  And, speaking of people who never liked to have their pictures taken, it is RV Sue (and her canine crew) who always comes to mind.  She absolutely hated anyone taking a picture of her, yet every time we met her, there I was flying around with my camera, taking all kinds of pictures.  She was a good sport about it, but I knew she would have liked to rip that camera out of my hand and beat me over the head with it.  I'm sure Sue wasn't the only one back then in those good old RV days who didn't like me taking their picture, but I justified it this way.  Had I not taken those photos of RV Sue and her Canine Crew, and many other folks, they would not have those photos of themselves and their friends and pets to look back on now from that wonderful bygone era.  Oh dear, how I so miss those days and all the wonderful places we went and the wonderful people we met along the way.  What an adventure it was, and with my blog archives, those memories will last forever, not only for me, but for others we met along the way.  Smile, say Cheese:))

I HAD MYSELF A BACKYARD CAMPFIRE THIS MORNING
I LIKE TO WATCH THE SMOKE LAZILY CURL UP THROUGH THE TALL PINE TREES AND OH MY, HOW WONDROUS THE SMELL OF AUTUMN'S BURNING LEAVES
Al's Music Box The Masquerade by George Benson.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A blind man walks into a store with his seeing-eye dog. All of a sudden, he picks up the leash and begins swinging the dog over his head. The manager runs up to the man and asks, "What are you doing?!!" The blind man replies, "Just looking around."

When the waitress in a New York City restaurant brought him the soup du jour, the Englishman was a bit dismayed. "Good heavens," he said, "what is this?" "Why, it's bean soup," she replied. "I don't care what it has been," he sputtered. "What is it now?"

I'm sitting in a cafeteria next to a woman who was engrossed in her newspaper. One of the headlines blared: "12 Brazilian Soldiers Killed." She shook her head at the sad news. Then, turning to me, she asked, "How many is a Brazilian?"

After John had purchased movie tickets for himself and his girlfriend, she went inside to find seats while he got some popcorn. By the time he was served, the previews were being shown and the theater was dark. John stumbled his way through the dark, sat down and gave his girlfriend a kiss.
Then he heard a familiar voice from the row beind say, “John, I'm back here.”

  3. If I have any regrets from my blog posts its that I didn't get as many people pics as I should have!! I am still bad at remembering to include peeps but will jump up and catch a sunset I glimpse through a window :-) Still I'm grateful I have the blog to fill in the wonderful memories of our travels. What a blessing the new owners are for your park and its residents. Those previous idiots clearly show how much damage can be done in a short period of time that will take years and a lot of resources to restore. Feels familiar "down here". Love, love the Wellies and flowers!
