AND IT WAS GOOD RESULTS I GOT

A FEW CANDID PHOTOS AT GODERICH'S ROTARY COVE THIS AFTERNOON
Thursday evening, I did get out for my walk, snapped one sunset photo, and came home again.  I had intended to follow my usual evening/night routine drive, but my head just wasn't into it guess.  I think maybe it might have something to do with the colder nights now.  It's those warm summer nights that I really like being out and about in the warm night air.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS SUNSET
Another fine late September morn with sunshine and clear blue skies.  About as close to a perfect weather day as one could hope for. With our Planet Earth slowly tilting northward, days and nights are steadily becoming cooler now as we tip slightly further from the Sun.  Earth will reverse its tilt during the Spring Equinox on Saturday, March 20th, 2027.  Always a psychologically good feeling day to look forward to.

OUR AREA'S ANNUAL BEAN HARVEST IS WELL UNDERWAY
THE FINAL BIG HARVEST FOR THE YEAR WILL BE THE CORN, AND THAT HARVEST IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER, MAYBE ONLY WEEKS AWAY FOR SOME FARMERS

It was off to Goderich's Maitland Valley Medical Center I went early this afternoon for my diabetic checkup.  Because of even more changes that I have recently made in my eating habits, I was hoping for good results.........And it was good results I got.  All numbers were mostly okay, so I am still pre-diabetic.  Both my diabetic lady and my Nurse Practitioner were especially pleased with my weight being down six pounds from six months ago.  On my scale, I am now tipping it at 163 pounds

Of course I was well early for my 1:45 appointment this afternoon, so I slipped down to Goderich's harbor and gathered up a few photos for tonight's post.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A little Moron, wanting to earn some extra money, decided to hire himself out as a "handyman" and started canvassing a nearby well-to-do neighborhood. He went to the front door of the first house and asked the owner if he had any odd jobs for him to do. "Well, I guess I could use somebody to paint my porch," he said, "How much will you charge me?" The little Moron quickly responded, "How about $50?" The man agreed and told him that the paint and everything he would need were in the garage. The man's wife, hearing the conversation, said to her husband, "Does he realize that our porch goes all the way around the house?" He responded, "That's a bit cynical, isn't it?" The wife replied, "You're right. I guess I'm starting to believe all those 'dumb Little Moron' jokes we've been getting by e-mail lately." A short time later, the little Moron came to the door to collect his money. "You're finished already?" the husband asked. "Yes," the little Moron replied, "and I had paint left over, so I gave it two coats." Impressed, the man reached into his pocket for the $50.00 and handed it to him. "And by the way," the little Moron added, "it's not a Porch, it's a Lexus."

Did you hear about the guy who tried to date a nun? He wanted to take her to the county fair, but she declined on account of she had taken a vow abstaining from Carnival pleasures.

- Today I saw a burglar breaking into his own house. Guess he was working from home.

- What does a plumber say in a library?
"Pipe Down!"

- What vegetable do plumbers hate? Leeks.

- Why was the plumber tired after a day's work? Because the work had been too draining!

Yesterday, I watched our wedding video in reverse. It was quite uplifting to see myself removing the ring from my wife's finger, exiting the church, and heading out for drinks with my closest buddies.

A father and son went fishing one day. While they were out in the boat, the boy suddenly became curious about the world around him. He asked his father, "How does this boat float? The father replied, "Don't rightly know son." A little later, the boy looked at his father and asked, "How do fish breath underwater?" Once again the father replied, "Don't rightly know son." A little later the boy asked his father, "Why is the sky blue?" Again, the father repied. "Don't rightly know son." Finally, the boy asked his father, "Dad, do you mind my asking you all of these questions?" The father replied, "Of course not, if you don't ask questions, you never learn nothin'."

  1. Oh my! Gettin' to be a skinny jimmy...ha ha, even eating peanut butter now and then? It's probably your whey shake that keeps you so healthy too, Al. So glad you are registering as pre-diabetic...well done!

I loved your sunset photo. Great on bloodwork news. Those boats sure are huge. I know, there is something magical about warm soft summer nights. I hate being cold.
