Yay, a bright sunny and warm morning for the first day of summer. Only downside....each day from now until December 21st will get shorter.

A WHEAT FIELD WAVING IN THE MORNING BREEZE |
Friday evening, Woodsy and I grabbed a couple of ice cream cones at the Woodland Drive-In and slipped into Bayfield for a drive-around. From Pioneer Park, we noticed two Sea-doos out in the lake with one of them going around and around in a tight circle with nobody visible on it. The other occupied Sea-Doo was standing by a short distance away. I thought right away somebody might be in trouble. I took a few long telephoto shots, and a minute later, a figure appeared on the troubled seadoo. I thought then that the two young guys were just fooling around, but when I edited the photos this morning and took a closer look, I think the one young fella may very well have been in trouble until he regained control of his Sea-doo again.

IT WAS NOT UNTIL I EDITED AND LIGHTENED THIS PHOTO TODAY THAT I SAW SOMEBODY CLINGING TO THE SEA-DOO |

THE SECOND SEADOOER ON HIS CELL PHONE...SO WERE THESE TWO GUYS JUST PRANKING AROUND FOR THE CAMERA, OR HAD THE SECOND FELLOW ALREADY CALLED FOR HELP |

IT WAS THE DOGGY THAT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION |
Took myself for a quiet, peaceful Saturday morning drive southeast through Varna and back along the Bannockburn Road, snapping a few pics along the way. Skies looked dark and forboding to the southwest. A thunderstorm packing lightning and rain was on its way, and it wasn't long before it was upon us. Fortunately, the heavier part of the storm went north of us, heading inland. We had some rain, but hardly enough to flush any fishworms out of the ground.

CORN IS ALREADY UP ABOUT TWELVE INCHES |
Under cloudy skies, Woodsy and I headed off to Goderich this afternoon with the usual stops thrown in. Food Basics, McD's coffee, another Vincent de Paul drop off, the Dollar Store and Walmart. Clouds had given way to sunshine, temperatures came up and so did the humidity. I had to crack on Subie's A/C. Back to Bayfield, it was a stop at Foodland, a convenience store post office, and a cruise along Bayfield's Main Street. We were finally home at 4:15.

CURIOUS CLOUDS IN THE MORNING SKY |
Ellen's Groove:)) It's been a while since I've posted anything about Ellen's progress with the bass guitar. In this video, Ellen is playing in a band, and it is her dad, Hovak, on lead guitar. This isn't my kind of music anymore, but I include the video for Ellen's bass playing. Here is, The Big Old Nasty Getdown
Al's Music Box:)) Arthur's Theme by Christopher Cross.
GROANER'S CORNER:(( It was a particularly tough football game, and nerves were on edge. The home team had been the victim of three or four close calls, and they were now trailing the visitors by a touchdown and a field goal. When the official called yet another close one in the visitors' favor, the home quarterback blew his top. How many times can you do this to us in a single game?" he screamed. "You were wrong on the out-of-bounds, you were wrong on that last first down, and you missed an illegal tackle in the first quarter." The official just stared. The quarterback seethed, but he suppressed the language that might get him tossed from the game. "What it comes down to," he bellowed, "is that you STINK!" The official stared a few more seconds. Then he bent down, picked up the ball, paced off 15 yards, and put the ball down. He turned to face the steaming quarterback. The official finally replied, "And how do I smell from here?"--------------------------------------------
- What is a Pessimist?
The real world dictionary defines a 'pessimist' as an optimist with no experience.
- Mindy: "I finally fixed that annoying noise in my car."
Missy: "Really? How did you do it?'
Mindy: "I opened the door and pushed him out."

A dog thinks: Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a nice warm, dry house, pet me, and take good care of me... They must be Gods!
A cat thinks: Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a nice warm, dry house, pet me, and take good care of me... I must be a God!

Three boys are in the schoolyard bragging about their fathers. The first boy says, "My dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a poem, and they give him $50." The second boy says, "That's nothing. My dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a song, and they give him $100." The third boy says, "I got you both beat. My dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, calls it a sermon, and it takes eight people to collect all the money!"

I agree with you about the band and Ella. I hope that's not the direction she's heading although from the comments a lot of people like that kind of music.
